Community Collaborations
Our Center partners with local and regional agencies on curricular and co-curricular initiatives that benefit the public good. These collaborative partnerships enrich the student experience and benefit community organizations.
Service learning courses are the primary way our Center collaborates with community organizations. Service learning provides students with opportunities to participate in organized 服务 activities that meet community needs while linking the 服务 experiences to the course content. Reflection and integration assignments are key aspects of these courses and make 服务 learning a different experience than community 服务. Service may include direct 服务 with clients, special projects, research, or other activities that are identified by the community partner to meet a real community need. Effective community partnerships involve planning and ongoing communication among 菠菜网lol正规平台 faculty, staff, students, and community partners.

Community organizations are encouraged to:
- Consult with Center staff
- Participate in partner meetings
- Recruit at 菠菜网lol正规平台 organization fairs
- Recognize students, faculty, and community organizations through our annual awards
Our 中心 hosts a Community Connections Fair twice a year during which non-profit and community organizations table on campus to share information about available volunteer, 服务-learning, and/or internship opportunities with students, faculty, and staff. Check out the latest list of partners!
