• 招生 Requirements

  • In general, you must satisfy all of the following:

    1. A BS 学位 in Mechanical Enginering

    2. 3.0 Grade Point Average in the last 60 units in your BS program

    3. GRE考试成绩:

       • A combined score of 1100 or higher on Quantitative and Verbal tests

       • 3分.0 or higher in Analytical Writing Skills

    注:

    1. If you are an 菠菜网lol正规平台 graduate or graduated from an ABET ac信贷ed institution, the GRE requirements is waived.

    2. If your undergraduate egineering major is not in ME, you can be considered for a conditonal admission, which will require completion of some additional courses, depending on the previous course work.

    3. If you are a graduate of a foreign institution, you must satisfy the 菠菜网lol正规平台 English Proficiency Requirement 

    4. If you have a GPA between 2.5和3.0, you can be considered for a conditional admission.

    5. Letters of recommendation are not required.

  • If you are just admitted in the ME department, please note that there will be an Orientation 为您准备的会议:

    When: Friday, August 18, 2023, at 5:30 - 6:30 PM

    If you were not able to attend the orientation in person, check out the PowerPoint slides from the New Students Orientation [pptx] on 08/18/2023

    At the orientation you will meet your program advisor and the department faculty, get familiar with the MSME program, get advising for the Fall 2023 semester, and get answers to any questions you might have regarding the MSME program.

• 转移信用

  • Before applying for candidacy, students can petition for transfer 信贷 via the Course Transfer Validation Form which can be found 这里[pdf]. 

    To transfer a course, the following conditions must be satisfied:

    1. If courses are taken at another university, they must not have been counted for 学位 信贷.
    2. If graduate-level courses are taken during the senior year as an 菠菜网lol正规平台 undergraduate (final two undergraduate semesters), the courses should not contribute to the bachelor's 学位.
    3. A course can be eligible for transfer only if it is equivalent to an existing graduate course in the department.
    4. 本科 courses do not qualify for transfer. 

     

    A maximum of 9 units may be transferred in from another university. 所修的课程 at 菠菜网lol正规平台 via Open University (while not a matriculated 菠菜网lol正规平台 student) count towards 这9个单位. For more information, go to the MSME目录.
