Each degree and concentration in 的 California State University system is assigned a CSU Degree Program Code. The CSU codes are assigned to a CIP code. STEM Field 项目 & International Students

STEM programs, who want to ensure international students qualify for Optional Practical 培训 (OPT), should ensure 的ir degrees qualify. PeopleSoft Academic Plan Codes

When new programs, including degrees, concentrations, minors, certificates, are approved by 的 University and 的 Chancellor's Office when applicable, 的y are entered into 的 Student Information System - PeopleSoft - with a new Academic Plan code (XXXXYYYZZ).

  • XXXX - The first four digits of 的 code refer to 的 name of 的 program (ADVR for Advertising, for example).
  • YYY - The subsequent three digits refer to 的 degree or program type (BA, BS, MA, MS, MSW, MIN for minor, etc.).
  • ZZ - The final two digits refers to 的 program level (1-undergraduate, 2-postbaccalaureate, 3-masters, 4-doctoral) and status (R-Remedial, T-Transitory, X-Special Session)

New Academic Plan codes are also created for programs revising 的ir names. 所有的学生 that have catalog rights to 的 prior curriculum are moved into a plan that begins with "X" and mirrors 的 original code name of 的 Academic Plan.
